The pipe flanges are the second most used joining method after welding.  They are utilized when joints must be dismanted. It allows for maintennance flexibility. ASME B16.9 Pipe Fittings are componet of piping that aids in Elbows and tees, for example, change the direction of the flow. Reducers and reducing tees change the size of the Pipe.
